    <content type="html">&lt;a href="http://www.ndtv.com/convergence/ndtv/story.aspx?id=NEWEN20080044811&amp;amp;ch=3/23/2008%204:32:00%20PM"&gt;EU to possibly ban Olympic Opening Ceremony&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a name="cutid1"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;Olympic boycott justified if violence continues: EU &lt;br /&gt;NDTV Correspondent&lt;br /&gt;Sunday, March 23, 2008 (New Delhi)&lt;br /&gt;The President of the European Parliament is reported to have said that European countries should not rule out threatening China with an Olympic boycott if violence continues in Tibet.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;According to the president of the European Parliament, ''If there continue to be no signals of compromise, I see boycott measures as justified.''&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, last week, before the European President's comments, the European Olympic committee met and said it was against any boycott.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Meanwhile, the standoff between Tibetan protesters and the Chinese government continues with Beijing now accusing the Dalai Lama of plotting terror in Tibet and holding the Olympic games hostage.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On his part, Dalai Lama says this is a matter of one billion Chinese people so as a matter of respect, we are not opposing Beining Olympics.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/stop-the-2008-beijing-olympics"&gt;My petition to ban the Beijing Olympics.&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm having a really hard time with the world right now.  There are so many things I'd like to do.  And I'm going to start doing them.  But that might mean putting a hold on what I want to do with the Peace Corps.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I can't wait for summer.  I'm going to be very very active.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ralph Nader is running for President again this time.  I'm going to vote, which I didn't think I was going to do this year, seeing as it's Hilary, Obama and McCain, and I don't support any of them.  At least I can have Nader and his anti-corpation stance.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Who are you all voting for and why?</content>
